Tim Mckay

Job Training:	Tim McKay serves as the Fire Marshal for the Town of Farmville in addition to being a firefighter for the department. A firefighter in his hometown of Butler, PA, he continued his service after moving to Virginia as a member and then the Chief of the Hampden-Sydney Volunteer Fire Department. Most recently, Tim served the Farmville Fire Department as its Chief from 2000-2010. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College and is currently working towards a Master's in Public Administration. Chief McKay is currently enrolled in the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer Program. He maintains Paramedic certification and is both an ALS Coordinator and EMT-Instructor for the Office of EMS as well as serving as an Adjunct Instructor for the Department of Fire Programs. He is a Virginia certified fire official, Department of Criminal Justice Services Instructor and certified Fire Inspector and Investigator. Tim works full time in the Training and Education Unit for Chesterfield Fire and EMS.
