Burn regulations are in affect in order to protect lives and property. Please obey the regulations and respect the officials who enforce them.
There is currently a burn ban on all open fires within the limits of the Town of Farmville
Permitted fires within the town include:
Grilling confined to a gas or charcoal container
Warming stoves which are confined to the container and produce smoke through a chimney

The Virginia Department of Forestry (VDOF) governs open burning within the limits of Prince Edward County
Please obey the 4 p.m. burn rule from February 15-April 30 annually
