Smoke Detectors

Is your home equipped with working smoke detectors? Does your home have smoke detectors in or adjacent to all sleeping areas? If not, let the Farmville Fire Department assist you in being fire safe. We will be happy to provide one smoke detector free of charge for you to place in your home. Additionally, firefighters will install your smoke alarm at no charge to you. Don't forget...installing smoke detctors is only half of fire prevention! Remember to change your batteries twice a year when you change your clocks!

The Farmville Fire Department provides fire prevention classes for your business, school, day care, or private group. Topics range from home safety and evacuation plans to fire safety in nursing homes and schools. Contact our Fire Prevention staff today to schedule your class!
